Youth Theatre

Step into the spotlight at our high-energy week-long theatre camp, where aspiring performers (ages 6-12) dive deep into the magic of the stage. We kick things off with audition prep and mock-auditions, ensuring you're ready for any "casting call" that comes your way. You'll master essential theatre terms and actor etiquette while diving into wacky theatre games designed to unlock your creativity and imagination. Throughout the week, you'll find your groove as we learn high-energy choreography and music from three hit Broadway shows. It all leads up to a grand finale: a live performance of an original script for friends and family, giving every camper the chance to shine in their own world premiere!

 

Camp runs June 8 through June 12, Monday through Friday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. 

Final performance on Friday, June 12 at 4:30 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center. 

 

Fees: 

  • $225 per child (includes a camp shirt and bag) 
  • $15 discount for additional children in the same household

 

Registration: 

  • Deadline to register is May 22
  • Children ages 6-12
  • Only 30 spots available
  • Must have 20 participants for camp to proceed

 

Registration is available through Eventbrite (convenience fees apply).

 

Waiver:
Payment to attend this activity/class means you agree to the following:  "I hereby give my authorization for participation in the activities of the above-named recreation activity or class.  I assume all risks incidental to the conduct of the activities or class and release, absolve, indemnify, and hold harmless the City of Leavenworth Parks & Recreation Department, the sponsors and supervisors.  Further, in case of injury, I hereby waive all claims against the City of Leavenworth, its sponsors, or any supervisors appointed to them.
 
Photographs and videos taken by the City during the activity will be used for marketing purposes by the Parks & Recreation Department and will become the property of the City of Leavenworth.
