American Veterans Traveling Vietnam Wall Tribute

The American Veterans Traveling Tribute (AVTT) Vietnam Wall and Cost of Freedom Tribute will be on display October 15-18, 2026, for at Dwight D. Eisenhower VA Medical Center, 4101 S. 4th Street, Leavenworth, KS.

"Remembering and respecting our Veterans for the selfless sacrifices they have made is one of our greatest responsibilities as citizens of this state and nation," said Kristi Lee, Leavenworth CVB director of 10 years. "We owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to the men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the name of freedom. The American Veterans Traveling Tribute offers the people, alongside Veterans, the chance to pay their respects to our nation's fallen warriors and gain a deeper appreciation for all those who have answered the call to service.”

AVTT Event Coordinator Kylah Doherty stated, “We are excited to partner with The City of Leavenworth & Leavenworth CVB to offer this experience and make this event one to remember!"

The 80% replica of Washington DC's Vietnam Wall Memorial stands 8ft tall at the highest apex and is 360 ft long. The Cost of Freedom Tribute honors those lost in other conflicts such as WWI, WWII, Korea, Desert Storm, Somalia, 9/11, Iraq and Afghanistan. The Tribute Wall travels across the country showcasing the names and acknowledging their sacrifices but also educating our youth so that history may never die! We are looking for volunteers, donations, and participation from the community. Remember that AVTT focuses on bringing the community together to honor all who serve.
