Buffalo Bill Wild West & Military History Festival

This community-wide celebration of America 250 as well as more than two centuries of local history comes to Leavenworth June 20-27. Standout events include historic re-enactments from costumed actors, an authentic military encampment, Army vehicle displays, a western art show, a “lil’ buckaroos” petting zoo, covered stagecoach rides, free concerts, outhouse races, a beard and mustache competition, a history-themed scavenger hunt through downtown, military dog demonstrations and, of course, the Stearman flyover.
