Solid Waste Equipment Operator I

The City of Leavenworth is looking for qualified applicants to perform a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled work, operating a variety of equipment, in the collection of solid wastes.

Minimum Qualifications: 

Graduation from High School or GED equivalent, must be at least 18 years of age at the time of hire; must possess one (1) year of experience in the operation of trucks and other light automotive and nonautomotive equipment; must possess a current, valid driver’s license at the time of application and meet insurability standards under the fleet insurance policy; and ability to obtain Class B CDL within one (1) year of hire and maintain for duration of employment.

Starting Salary: $38,348 plus excellent benefit package.
